San Diego Festival of the Arts Supports Adaptive Sports & Recreation

“The San Diego Festival of the Arts, is one of the most prestigious art shows in the country. It will feature over 190 award-winning artists, delicious and healthy cuisines along with your favorite beverage and live entertainment.  Proceeds will benefit adaptive sports and recreation programs for San Diegans with physical disabilities, including recently injured service members.  CSSD has benefitted from the Festival’s success over the years.  The 32nd annual festival will be held on June 13 and 14, 2020 at Waterfront Park in Downtown San Diego.  Please visit http://www.sdfestivalofthearts.org/ “.

Volunteer Appreciation Party

Volunteer Appreciation Party in the Sunroad Pavilion for Challenged Sailors San Diego, January 18, 2020. 

The event opened with a moment of prayer for Tom Lipare, volunteer extraordinaire, who passed away in early January. 

Kevin Wixom and Doug Shaw were recognized for their dedication and hard work over many years.

Mike and Sylvia Swall were recognized for their long and tireless support of CSSD. They are the best!

Toni Turbyfill presented CSSD Volunteers and Sailors a wonderful Roaring Twenties catered meal of beef bourguignon, French Chicken casserole A La Normande, truffle pasta, wild rice pilaf, mashed potatoes, and creme brûlée.  Mmmmmmm!
