Volunteer Appreciation Party in the Sunroad Pavilion for Challenged Sailors San Diego, January 18, 2020. 

The event opened with a moment of prayer for Tom Lipare, volunteer extraordinaire, who passed away in early January. 

Kevin Wixom and Doug Shaw were recognized for their dedication and hard work over many years.

Mike and Sylvia Swall were recognized for their long and tireless support of CSSD. They are the best!

Toni Turbyfill presented CSSD Volunteers and Sailors a wonderful Roaring Twenties catered meal of beef bourguignon, French Chicken casserole A La Normande, truffle pasta, wild rice pilaf, mashed potatoes, and creme brûlée.  Mmmmmmm!

Eight CSSD Sailors Registered for SCYA Midwinter Regatta

Eight sailors from Challenged Sailors San Diego have registered for the SCYA Midwinter Regatta. The two-weekend format, stretches from Morro Bay to Baja California and points east, at 26 different venues. Locally, Coronado Yacht Club hosts CSSD competitors and is a great fit for racers wishing to participate in this unique event. This yachting tradition is a chance to test skills against other CSSD skippers and provides an opportunity to experience the thrill of competitive racing. Ninety years of successful past Midwinter regattas tell the story about this unique event. It is a great, fun racing experience, a great time on the water!
