Reminder: Sailing Day Guidelines

Please be on time,11:45am, now that we NEED to do the health screening protocol that is necessary prior to heading down to the docks.

Wear your mask and maintain social distancing.

Leave your life jacket on until we head back up the ramp after sailing.

If you are scheduled to volunteer and find that you need to cancel, please call or text the assigned crew leader.

It is recommended that all sailors and volunteers wear clothing that they don't mind getting wet, soft-soled shoes, gloves (if needed), hat, sunglasses; and bring sunscreen, a sealable plastic bag for your phone & wallet, and a reusable water bottle.  Wear full covered sailing gloves and your mask.  Bring your PDF (life  jacket, IF you have one.

PARKING:  

Parking tickets remain unchanged.  Both Sailors & Volunteers will continue to receive “free” parking. THANK YOU SUNROAD MANAGEMENT. 

Sunroad Management would like us to park in the last row (nearest the street).  There are just too many of us & it seems we continue to migrate to the front row. 
Their request needs to be respected.

For those who have a need & require the disabled parking  space(s), may and should continue to use that space. There is a 2nd space next to that space and is designated as a reserved “Fire” parking space. We have special permission to use that space as well.

When you enter the parking lot, use your phone number or credit card to get in. You'll get a paper ticket which you should hold on to.   Validated paper parking slips will be distributed before we go down to the boats.  When you leave, you first scan the original ticket, then the validation.  No charge.

We meet at the head of Docks A-D (west end of Sunroad Marina parking lot) at 11:45am sharp.

Ullman Sails Fundraiser to Benefit CSSD!

As part of the San Diego sailing community, you are aware of all the good that Fiddlers Green restaurant has given the sailing community.

Ullman Sails is returning this favor by helping another great cause at the same time. Part of the proceeds of all prime rib meals sold will directly benefit Challenged Sailors San Diego.

Ullman Sails is promoting a 100 prime rib challenge! They are challenging the sailing community to purchase 100 prime rib meals on October 28th, 2020. The Ullman Sails Prime Rib Challenge

You get a world-class prime rib dinner and help two great organizations at the same time. All you have to do is order a prime rib or multiple prime rib meals at Fiddlers Green on October 28th for dine-in or take out.

Learn A Little While You Wait - Blind Sailing

Sailors who are blind or vision impaired have been involved in organized sailing programs since 1979. However, only within the past 20 years has blind sailing in the U.S. become more widespread and recognized. In addition, blind sailing has taken on an international aspect, with eight Blind World Sailing Championships having been held since 1992.
